It´s been a long time since we had some proper ska/reggae club gig in Bratislava but we have some great news for you! The one and only Roy Ellis a.k.a. Mr.Symarip will come to Re:fresh club alongside Chancers AKA – a brand new Prague band established by the former members of legendary The Chancers.
These fantastic musicians will be supported by local DJs and a vinylshop on the spot.
MR. SYMARIP
Roy Ellis, born in Jamaica, true rudeboy with unbelievable life, member of british The Pyramids/Symarip, singer, trombone player, the founder of skinhead reggae – that are just some of the many characteristics you can tell about this truly remarkable man.
Surely he doesn´t need a long introduction, since his legendary songs such as Skinhead Girl, Stay With Him, Must Catch a Train or Skinhead Moonstop (from the eponymous album with millions of copies sold) are known to every ska and reggae fan.
This is the first time this vigorous icon of skinhead reggae will play in Slovakia so be sure not to miss it!

CHANCERS AKA
Every true fan of ska from the Central Europe knows The Chancers from Prague. When this legendary band announced it´s end last year after 20 years of writing musical history not only in Czech Republic, surely there were some tears shed by the true fans. However these gifted guys and a girl didn´t quit, not at all. They continued to rehearse and composed new songs. Now going under the name of Chancers AKA they are ready to roll. We’re looking forward to their show in September.
